About the Team
The Sr RF/Microwave Design team at Keysight plays a critical role in advancing our next-generation solutions. We design, develop, and deliver high-performance RF and microwave technologies that support customers worldwide. The team collaborates with cross-functional partners-including product management, business development, and R&D-to ensure innovative, high-quality, and customer-focused outcomes.
About the Role
As the SR. RF/Microwave Design Team Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and oversee the successful delivery of complex R&D projects from concept through commercialization. This role combines technical depth, project leadership, and people management, requiring you to balance strategic priorities with hands-on guidance. You'll be accountable to executive management for project outcomes, and you'll foster collaboration across global teams while driving innovation, execution, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
* Project Management: Own the full lifecycle of R&D projects, from concept to delivery; build and maintain project schedules, charters, decision logs, and status reports.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, business, and product teams; ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
* Technical Leadership: Apply RF/Microwave expertise to guide project execution, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Risk Management: Identify, monitor, and proactively address risks related to technical challenges, resources, and schedules.
* Budget & Resources: Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize team impact.
* Communication & Reporting: Drive clear, transparent communication within the team and with executive leadership.
* Quality & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards.
* Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement in workflows, methodologies, and project execution.
* Day-to-Day Activities: Lead effective meetings, review/approve documentation, support IP development, and enable collaboration.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
* Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
* Several years of proven industrial experience as an RF/Microwave Design Engineer.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
* Skilled in synthesizing complex technical concepts into clear communication.
* Strategic thinker with ability to make decisions in ambiguous environments
Desired Qualifications:
* Several years of successful leadership experience managing teams.
* Experience in RF/Microwave system development and innovation.
* Knowledge of industry-standard tools and technologies.
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
