Job Summary:

As a Senior Health & Safety Manager, you will lead the strategic development and hands-on implementation of health and safety initiatives within a fast-paced, advanced manufacturing environment. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of fostering a proactive safety culture while ensuring operational compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. You'll collaborate closely with production leaders, safety teams, and cross-functional partners to identify risk, optimize safety processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The position demands a strong technical command of safety management systems, incident investigation, and risk mitigation strategies. Success in this role means championing a zero-incident mindset while contributing to the long-term operational excellence of a state-of-the-art facility. 

Essential Duties:

* Plays a key role in day-to-day operations in production processes driving safety culture and compliance on production floor.
* Must be able to manage and coach teams and drive KPI with zero incident mentality.
* Manager will work directly with Production managers, supervisors, safety champions and vendors to maintain compliance and mitigate risk by implementing best practices within PECNA Management systems.
* Promote, coach and influence culture of safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
* Assess, identify, and evaluate processes and safety risks in day-to-day operations on production floor and mitigate safety risks in production areas.
* Serve as technical Subject Matter Expert for HS programs such as LOTO, machine guarding, fall protections, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, process safety.
* Ensure appropriate root cause analysis has been conducted and corrective actions have been identified and implemented.
* Participate and Drive Safety Committee meetings to address issues.
* Conduct Industrial Hygiene surveys, risk assessment and establish JSA, JHA, SWP
* Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports and permitting requirements as needed.
* Experience with Behavioral based Safety programs and implementation
* Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action management.
* Ability and willingness to respond and support site emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if needed.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

* To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications:

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred:

Education:

* Basic/Required: Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, related branch of Engineering, System Safety, Biology, Chemistry, related science/technical field from accredited 4-year college or equivalent experience

Essential Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years in a senior, supervisory, or managerial role related to Health & Safety
* Experience with Health & Safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA, NFPA, ANSI
* Knowledge of Occupational health & safety systems such as ISO-45001
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma and 6S principles
* Experience in developing and implementing emergency response plans, ensuring preparedness for various scenarios.
* Experience in developing and delivering health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.
* In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience commissioning manufacturing equipment

Preferred Certification(s):

* Certification in Occupational Health and Safety, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
