				Overview:

Waters is seeking a dynamic contributor to fill the role of a Sr Mass Spectrometry Sales Development Specialist in our Biologics business. The Biologics Commercial team is directly responsible for customers primarily engaged in large molecule work. This role will have the exciting opportunity to drive the sales of our full range of Mass Spectrometry products and services, which include Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography System, Mass Spectrometers (Quadrupole, Tandem Quadrupole, TOF, QTOF, QTOF Hybrid), software, consumables and services for the western region of the United States

The desired candidate should be highly self-motivated to develop and implement a regional business plan, while working in unison with their assigned Bio Account Management Team, MS Sales Development Specialists and marketing colleagues to deliver a strong call cycle and business development activities. The foundation of the MS Sales Development Specialist role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers' needs to design solutions with lasting and meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

* Meet or exceed sales targets
* Maintain installed-base customer satisfaction
* Purposefully develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
* Visit customers daily to highlight Waters solutions and help customers with any technical obstacles in their way
* Build technical competency on Waters solution and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource
* Maintain current knowledge on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and other critical business information
* Provide information to marketing team to create business development programs
* Maintain CRM and full leverage sales tools and applications
* Submit accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
* Develop business through monthly plan of action

Qualifications:

* Minimum of Bachelors Degree in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
* 3+ years chromatography and mass spectrometry experience.
* UPLC, Mass Spec, field sales and/or marketing is a plus
* Overnight travel is required 
* Committed and eager to achieve results
* Sound communication and presentation skills
* Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
* Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of dedication
* Adaptive to a dynamic and ever-changing environment
* Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
* The general base pay for this position ranges from $100,100-$133,650  per year.  Pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experence
