Inteqna Toronto is recruiting for a Java Enterprise Developer/Lead. 

Our client is currently seeking a senior Java Enterprise Developer/Lead for engagement on enterprise projects for blue-chip corporate customers. This opportunity is for permanent a position and starts immediately

Main Duties

*  Architecture and design of big data solutions

*  Define best practices and be responsible for overall solution quality, performance,

scalability and usability

*  Analyze and document business requirements

*  Development of new features, mappings, and workflows

*  Design of data model to support new data feeds

*  Analysis and design of new data feeds and supporting ETL programs

*  Create documentation and document all developed mappings

*  Leading and mentoring team members

*  Ability to assess, organizes, prioritize, estimate, execute and deliver results on a

variety of concurrent activities on time and within budget

Experience Required

*  Fundamental knowledge and experience with big data components such as

Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, HBase, and MapReduce

*  Solid experience with Java and multithreaded application development is highly

desired

*  Hands on experience designing databases and implementing (PL/SQL) scripts and

stored procedures; Oracle, MySQL or MS SQL experience is considered an asset

*  4+ years of experience in analyzing business requirements to design, architect,

develop and implement highly efficient, highly scalable big data solutions

*  Experience with implementing and addressing operational issues e.g. scripting

and monitoring in Big Data environments

*  Experienced in coordinating unit test efforts;

*  Organize and participate in code reviews

*  Scripting experience with Python is considered an asset

Education

*  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
