				Responsibilities:

As the Distilling Engineering SME, you will lead and support Capital Project initiatives across various sites, specializing in Grain Handling, Cooking, Fermenting, Distilling, Barrel Handling and Storage. This role provides technical leadership in developing efficient, world class, high-quality production processes, and ensures adherence to industry and regulatory standards. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will drive innovation in distilling and help shape capabilities within our global engineering agenda. Develop, write, and approve company functional design standards and determine gap analysis against those standards for all locations within Sazerac. Mentor junior engineers on skill development, work processes, and navigating change.

* Participates in the PDS process, meeting expectations for reporting on learnings and using feedback from the process to ensure optimal outcomes for the role.
* Utilize Career Development System (CDS) to identify training needs and design development curriculum, programs and content for the purpose of preparing for career opportunities within the company. Provide feedback to manager regarding on-the-job learning opportunities.
* Works with the sites to drive cost savings projects across the network. Identifies best practices from the network and works with other sites to implement the same actions.
* Drive toward continuous improvement, growth, efficiency and cost savings. Creates project engineering processes and standards across the network to improve continuity, timelines, quality, adherence to construction and engineering best practices, and budget adherence.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Identify and manage risks and safety aspects of the project. Ensure all contractors / employees involved on work in progress are following safe work practices. Review equipment specifications and ensure installation meets safety standards.
* Ensures Grain, Distilling, Barrel handling operations meet regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA and TTB regulations. Takes immediate corrective action when needed to stay in compliance
* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in grain handling, cooking, fermenting, distilling, barrel handling, and storage system design and function. Assess current distilleries and barrel storage locations, identifying gaps and creating world-class solutions. Design and simulate processes, conducting risk assessments to address system constraints. Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for grain handling, cooking, fermenting, distilling, and storage systems. Create TCO and competitive bidding systems to identify key partners for executing the FDS.
* Collaborates with operations leadership to identify improvements in grain handling, distilling, and barrel storage, and create long-term development plans for each location. Develops capital projects and improvement plans with budgets, monitors progress, and reports to leadership. Identifies and resolves obstacles to project completion. Supports capacity planning and inventory accuracy for grain, distilling, and barrel storage. Streamlines and documents planning processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance work quality.
* Establish well organized priorities for yourself and make sure team members understand expectations of the priorities and tasks. Provide the appropriate parties with regular feed back and timely updates. Integral part of the operations team and its issues and projects.

Qualifications:
MUST
* Strong analytical and technical skills
* Bachelor's Degree
* Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
* Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
* Experience developing/implementing capability improvement programs (process improvement, systems analysis and design)
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to drive results in a complex, high-growth company
* Excellent knowledge of engineering within distillation systems
* Ability to travel up to 50%
PREFERRED
* 7 years relevant experience (minimum)
* Ba/bs degree in chemical or process engineering or related discipline
* Experiencee in capital expansions for distillation systems
* Experience in writing and developing technical documents and company standards
