Overview: MTS V, Software The post holder for this role will be at advanced level, responsible for building and supporting Development, Deployment, Delivery, Operations & Monitoring capabilities in Cloud-based solutions to our customers. Participate in the technical implementation of DevOps framework across multiple business lines and portfolio to achieve a CI/CD/CT paradigm for a global IoT Cloud. Implement DevOps infrastructure, deployment automation, and monitoring to ensure systems are highly available, elastically scalable, fault tolerant and performant. Responsibilities: DevOps Automation: * Develop infrastructure as code (AWS and/or Azure) using best practices and implementations for non-production and production environments. * Develop utilities by improving productivity in delivery orchestration, proactive monitoring, self-healing automation, and operations validations. * Develop automation scripts and pipelines which enhance and expand our DevOps services. * Lead efforts to maintain a high level of service availability, operations, and operational issues. * Lead the execution of cloud automation strategy for enterprise applications and application components. * Automation Platform: * Develop reusable components and operational strategies to support scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, restore, etc. * Lead the building of Continuous Delivery pipelines, code analysis, tests and review capabilities, and release management procedures. * Cloud Platform: * Lead operations within a public cloud (AWS and/or Azure) environments. * Lead design and configuration of cloud services, including virtual networks, private links / VPN, storage, compute instances, load balancers, and databases. * Lead management and oversight of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or similar. * Collaborate with Architects and development teams to ensure smooth migration, integration and deployment of applications in the cloud environments. * Collaborate with Architects to define reference architecture and automation strategies DevOps Operations: * Work on a high velocity team that is expected to deliver solutions in a few weeks from concept to delivery to operations. * Take an automation first approach to streamline business processes, technology delivery and operations. * Design and maintain architectural strategies, support, and system documentation. * Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. * Provides support and troubleshooting of prior developed technology solutions. * Automation Platform: * Build and maintain an automated DevOps delivery/deployment model to enable continuous release of software into cloud environments. * Perform software upgrades and installations as required in support of a cloud strategy. * Cloud Platform: * Lead, Manage and Support Cloud tenant management and IDAM solutions to support customer and PAC identities. * Lead oversight and support operations within a public cloud (AWS and/or Azure) environments. * Manage AWS Cloud Account management, provisioning and governance working closely with Cloud Architect. * Review AWS cost, drive cost optimization strategies, charge back and reporting * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, security, and cloud operations working closely with operations and support teams Qualifications: Able to work well with global distributed teams, including time-zone flexibility. * Experience with Agile practices and methodologies. * Knowledge and experience of software development practices. * Expertise in Software Configuration Management tools such as Git and SVN. * Expertise with Continuous Integration tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins or Travis CI. * Expert in several configuration management systems (Chef, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation etc.) * Fundamental knowledge of container-based technologies and orchestration systems (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). * Expert with build tools such as Maven, Ant, Gradle. * Expert knowledge of one of several programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, GoLang). * Expert scripting skills using Python/Ruby/Bash and/or Powershell. * Strong familiarity with Linux/Windows OS and system administration. * Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems, performance tuning, filesystems and I/O. * Expertise in virtualized environment set-up, maintenance and ongoing development. * Familiarity with Jira, Rally, or other project management software. * Exceptional verbal, written communication and organizational skills, along with interpersonal skills that allow for collaboration across a diverse group of people. * Knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas: * Automation Platform: * Expertise with artifact repository management tools such as Jfrog Artifactory. * Expertise with static analysis/software quality tools such as SONARQube. * Expertise with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playright. * Mastery of one or more monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Logstash, etc.). * Cloud Platform * Expertise in managing enterprise scale AWS Cloud platform environments. * Expertise with AWS infrastructure standardization using CFT, CDK, or Terraform * Expertise is cost optimization and charge back using AWS cost management * Expertise in managing hybrid cloud architectures using direct connect. * Expertise with AWS networking methodologies * Expertise with core AWS Services including EC2, ELB, ASG, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, ECS, and EKS * AWS Cloud Infrastructure provisioning and management, setting up and configuring the cloud infrastructure (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups) * Hands-on experience with Network setup (DNS, Load Balancer, Protocols, CIDRs, VPN, SSL).
