Responsibilities:

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a Subject Matter Expert with extensive experience, the Engineering Specialist is passionate about solving complex technical challenges and contributing to mission success. Join our dynamic team, where you'll leverage your expertise in various engineering disciplines to design, develop, and implement critical systems for our customers. You'll play a vital role in every stage of the product lifecycle, from research and development to system integration, validation, and testing.
What you'll experience:
* Lead Technical Projects: Apply your Subject Matter Expertise to analyze, troubleshoot, and provide technical guidance during research and product development initiatives.
* System Design & Implementation: Design, build, and document robust communication systems incorporating computers, switches, routers, RF modems, and supporting RF equipment.
* System Integration & Validation: Install software and equipment, validate system functionality, and ensure seamless product operation based on detailed documentation.
* Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and guide other engineers, manage project schedules, and allocate manpower effectively to achieve project objectives.
* Technical Support & Training: Provide comprehensive support, training, and testing for our systems, enabling our customers to achieve their mission goals.
* Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with system leads and leverage your education and experience to identify and address issues and propose future system upgrades.
What you bring to the table:
* RF & Telecommunications Expertise required, several years of hands-on experience working with RF monitoring and signal processing systems OR Data Telecommunication systems that utilize RF as a transport medium.
* Subject Matter Expertise: Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas:
* Systems engineering in communication systems.
* Data Network design and operations.
* Hands-on use of Commercial or Government Satcom System.
* Installation and support of RF and Data Centers.
* Operation and setup of computer networks, including operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Server, Linux), switches, and routers.
* Electromechanical experience with equipment utilizing servos and synchro's.

* Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of general networking principles, including layers 1-4, computer and communication systems, RF modems, routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Security & Compliance: Experience with applying security settings, installing updates, and knowledge of Configuration Management.
* Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage schedules and resources, and communicate complex technical information effectively.

Workplace Options:
This position is fully on-site at our San Jose, CA facility.
While on-site, you will be a part of the San Jose team.

The position may require occasional travel to customer or partner sites.
