Responsibilities:
* Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
* Writes tickets and processes cash winning tickets.
* Handles customer questions and disputes according to established guidelines.
* Counts cash at the beginning and end of each shift; adheres to all financial controls.
* Acknowledges, greets, and converses in English with all guests; offers assistance and information to anyone showing an interest in betting.
* Consistently builds and maintains rapport with guests.
* Adheres to all internal controls, compliance policies, gaming regulations, and Gaming Control Board reporting requirements.
* Calls for MTL support when writing bets requiring MTL paperwork.
* Anticipates and acts on the needs of the customer; seeks and responds to feedback.
* Ensures all issues affecting the customer experience in the sports book are reported promptly.
* Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
* Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Familiarity with gaming environment preferred.
* Must have strong computer skills and be competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
* Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
* Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.
* Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
* Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
