				Overview:

Serves as primary contact with the sponsor to clarify award guidelines and processes all types of inbound awards and modifications.

Responsibilities:

* Serves as primary contact with the sponsor to clarify award guidelines and processes all types of inbound awards and modifications. As necessary, consults with internal and external stakeholders to ensure necessary review, approval, and clearance prior to award execution. Creates award deliverables per the terms of award. Assembles award packages to create Project ID in the financial system.
* Responsible for progress reports/RPPRs and sponsor prior approvals throughout grant award lifecycle. Liaise with the Office of Compliance, Office of Technology Transfer Commercialization, Legal Services, Human Resources, Research Finance, other Research Institute departments and centers; Division Chiefs, Center Directors and hospital administrators and others as necessary to support the administration of active awards.
* Ensures adherence to institutional policies and sponsor guidelines for awards, and performs ongoing IRB, IACUC, COI and other compliance reviews.
* Serve as lead compliance and administrative point of contact for various internal and external units to enable and facilitate all matters related to administration of active sponsored projects. Ensure prior approvals are submitted in a timely and accurate manner and ensure proper documentation is obtained to support approval from sponsor when applicable. Serve as liaison for internal PI's, departments, and Sponsors.
* Communicate any non-financial award issues with PI's and department, answering questions and providing resolution.
* Maintains a high level of professional knowledge through self-study, research, participation in professional development, and attendance at webinars and conferences.
* Disseminates information on changes with NIH and other sponsors guidelines, forms, requirements, regulations, etc to customers.
* Active member of the administrative research support team, facilitates meetings as needed to effectively oversee compliance with institutional, local, state, federal and other sponsor requirements and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

One (1) or more years job related experience required. 

Prefer experience in Research Administration, accounting, or equivalent.
