Overview: The speech pathologist is responsible for providing speech, language and swallowing services to outpatients with occasional inpatients including assessment, treatment planning and implementation with related documentation Responsibilities: Provide diagnostic speech, language and swallowing evaluations for patients referred to department. Therapy is provided under the direction of the attending physician. Responsible for assuring that appropriate patient/family education is carried out for all assigned patients. Qualifications: MA or MS degree and Iowa licensure in Speech Pathology with certificate of Clinical Competence in speech pathology preferred.
