 PRN Rate:$60/hr

Weekend PRN rate: $66/hr

We are seeking a compassionate and driven clinician to join our acute care team. This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking and daily collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Minimum PRN requirements: 1 weekend shift of availability per month in addition to one high-need day (could be weekend or weekday), as determined by the needs of the department.

* Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units
* Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments
* Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards
* Completing patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropriate
* Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

* Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
* Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
* Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
* Acute care experience, minimum one year required
* Competency with MBSS, strongly preferred
* Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
