Overview: UnityPoint Health Specialty RN * $5,000 Sign On Bonus * Nephrology Clinic, Cedar Rapids, IA Fulltime, 1.0 Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm UnityPoint Clinic is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Clinic Nurse to join our Nephrology team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients managing chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and other renal-related conditions. As a key member of our care team, you'll work closely with nephrologists, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities: * Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting * Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and education on chronic kidney disease management * Triage incoming calls, assist with scheduling, and coordinate follow-up care * Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of care * Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) * Support a clean and safe clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols Qualifications: * Current RN licensure * CPR certification * Mandatory Reporter certification * Ability to direct others and to exercise judgement in problem situations * Creative thinking; analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; self-direction; theoretical implementation and evaluation * Strong interpersonal skills * Ability to work as a team member * Strong computer skills * Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English * Computer data entry experience * Use of usual/customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
