Overview: UnityPoint Health Specialty RN OB/GYN Clinic - Lakeview West Des Moines, IA Monday-Friday 7:45AM-5:15PM (one day off during week depending on staffing) Full-time + benefits $5,000 sign on bonus offered to external or newly licensed candidates! Responsibilities: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) to join our OB/GYN clinic located in West Des Moines, IA. The RN will work collaboratively with our team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a range of obstetric and gynecologic services. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for women's health. Key Responsibilities: * Provide direct patient care including assessments, education, and triage in an OB/GYN setting. * Support providers with in-office procedures (e.g., colposcopies, IUD insertions, biopsies). * Administer medications and injections, including vaccines and hormone therapies, as prescribed. * Assist with prenatal care, postpartum follow-ups, and routine gynecologic visits. * Educate patients about reproductive health, pregnancy, contraception, and preventive care. * Triage patient phone calls and messages, assessing urgency and coordinating appropriate follow-up. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). * Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with front desk and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling. * Participate in ongoing staff education, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings. Qualifications: * Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa (required). * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). * Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (OB/GYN or women's health experience strongly preferred). * Current BLS certification (required). * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Proficient in using EMR systems (experience with [insert system name if known, e.g., Epic, Athena, etc.]). * Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
