Overview: UnityPoint Clinics Specialty Nurse - RN Lakeview Behavioral Counseling West Des Moines, IA PRN - As Needed - hours between Mon-Fri 8-5 Responsibilities: We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Specialty Clinic Nurse to provide direct patient care in a specialized clinical setting. You will collaborate with physicians and medical staff to ensure quality care for patients with specific medical needs, while promoting patient safety and comfort. * Provide direct care to patients, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration. * Assist physicians during exams, procedures, and diagnostic tests. * Educate patients on their conditions, treatments, and self-care. * Document patient interactions and care in the EHR system. * Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and ensure a safe environment. * Support patient flow, including scheduling and follow-ups. * Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans. Qualifications: * Current RN license in IOWA * 1+ years of clinical experience (outpatient/primary care preferred) * High School Diploma or equivalent * BLS certification (ACLS a plus)/Mandatory reporter * Strong communication and patient care skills * Comfortable with EHR systems and multitasking * Ability to lift and assist patients as needed * Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
