Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists and  three cardiothoracic surgeons. We merged with CHI Memorial Health Care System in 2011 which is part of CommonSpirit Health. Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Collect appropriate data and perform testing to prepare patient for physician visit.
* Maintain patient flow through the clinic.
* Pull patient voicemails and process messages to the nurses a appropriate.
* Complete patient refills as requested by both patient and pharmacy, ensuring appropriate labs are ordered as needed and protocol is followed.
* Assist nurses with patient messages as necessary.
* Assist nurses with reviewing physician blue book as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:

* Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

License/Certification:

* BLS Certification
* AAMA-CMA; AMT-RMA; NCCT-NCMA; or NHA-CCMA

Qualifications:

* Medical office experience preferred.
