Responsibilities:
As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will provide highly specialized technical expertise and critical support during complex diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring precision and patient safety.
Every day you will expertly operate advanced imaging equipment, prepare and maintain sterile fields, assist physicians with intricate procedures, and meticulously monitor patient vitals, contributing to successful outcomes in sensitive medical interventions.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding technical proficiency, strong attention to detail, and a calm, focused demeanor, contributing significantly to accurate diagnoses and life-saving treatments.
* Is a role model for the hospital's Patient Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues
* Possesses required technical knowledge and skills to operate cine angiographic equipment efficiently. Ensures and provides quality cine angiography in Cardiac Cath Lab.
* Demonstrates proficiency in skills used in operating of cine angiography equipment and is licensed under state statues and laws.
* Prepare Cardiac Cath Lab for cine or cineless equipment for proper procedure. Each morning and prior to each case check to insure all equipment is functioning properly and supplies are readily available.
* Assures adequate safety radiation standards are maintained. Checks integrity of lead aprons on a routine basis for adequate safety twice per year.
* Maintains and operates Image IV system.
Qualifications:
Required
* Graduation from a school of Radiological Technology
* Medical Radiographer: CA
* AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
* Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
* Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA
Preferred
* 1-3 years Two years of special procedure experience in cardiac catherization laboratory and/or radiology
