Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

In keeping with the Marian Medical Center healthcare philosophy, the Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level. Positions and instructs the patient, operates ultrasound equipment and determines the technical factors for ultrasound procedures. Ensures correct marking/labeling of images, provide and confirm proper/adequate documentation of procedures to assist in diagnosis. Technically proficient in a variety of ultrasound procedures. Ability to train staff members to perform procedures requiring independent judgement. Position requires ingenuity and initiative for the diagnosis and therapy of disease.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Technical School Graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasound and 2-5 years experience performing Ultrasound procedures., upon hire and
* 2 years high-risk/level II OB Ultrasoundincluding Fetal Echo. and
* Experienced withUS guided invasive fetal proceduresincluding amniocentesis and CVS and
* Basic Life Support - CPR (must be from the American Heart Association), within 30 Days and
* Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or
* Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
* Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
* Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
* Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire or
* Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
* Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
* Registered Vascular Specialist, upon hire or
* Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with AIUM certificationprocess
