Responsibilities:
As a Solutions Specialist GCP, you will play a critical client-facing role in supporting sales and delivery teams across AI and ML opportunities on GCP. You will engage with customers early in the sales cycle to understand business challenges, design solution architectures, and demonstrate the value of Google Cloud's AI capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone with strong presales or solutioning experience, hands-on knowledge of GCP AI/ML services, and the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Presales & Solutioning Activities
* Partner with sales teams to support discovery calls, technical workshops, and solution discussions with prospective clients.
* Design end-to-end AI/ML and Generative AI architectures on GCP, aligned to customer business requirements.
* Translate business use cases into clear technical solution designs, architectures, and proposals.
* Build and present customized demos, solution walkthroughs, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) using GCP AI/ML services.
* Support responses to RFPs/RFIs, including solution descriptions, architecture diagrams, and effort estimates.
Solution & Practice Enablement
* Contribute to the creation of reusable presales assets, such as demo frameworks, reference architectures, and proposal templates.
* Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from presales to implementation.
* Stay current with GCP AI/ML and Generative AI advancements and proactively bring new ideas to client conversations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Work closely with Google Cloud sales and AI specialist teams to align on opportunities and best practices.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers during the presales phase.
* Participate in internal enablement sessions, knowledge sharing, and solution reviews.
Qualifications:
* 6-12 years of overall experience in technology roles, with at least 4-6 years in a presales, solutions architecture, or consulting capacity.
* Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly data and AI services.
* Practical experience with GCP AI/ML services, including:
* Vertex AI (training, pipelines, endpoints, Generative AI Studio)
* Generative AI / LLM concepts, with exposure to Google models (e.g., Gemini)
* BigQuery & BigQuery ML, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow
* Basic to intermediate understanding of MLOps concepts on GCP
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience supporting technical proposals, RFPs/RFIs, and high-impact client presentations.
* Experience working with a GCP Partner or system integrator.
* Exposure to Generative AI use cases across one or more industry domains (e.g., BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing).
* Experience delivering client demos or PoCs in a presales environment.
* Interest in contributing to thought leadership, internal blogs, or technical enablement sessions.
