Overview:
The Solution Architect is a trusted technical advisor to our clients by providing strategic insight and technical expertise through engagements with manufacturers via product data management (PDM) implementations, migrations, training, mentoring, and support. This role is also a valuable contributor in the pre-sales and scope of work development process.
This is an opportunity to leverage industry knowledge, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset to impact change across a diverse range of manufacturers. While implementing technology and ensuring successful adoption is a critical component of the role, the Solution Architect will engage in discovery meetings with clients and the Graitec Sales and greater Technical Teams to document clients' current state and assist in the architecture of data management and collaboration solutions to address their needs.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze and evaluate client requirements and business goals
* Recommend appropriate strategies and help define services plan
* Assist with scoping and generating proposals and statements of work
* Perform product demonstrations to convey solution fit compared to client business needs
* Conduct software implementations and training classes
* Technical support pre/post sales
* Participate in sales and technical services meetings
Responsibilities:
* 5+ years of using and/or implementing data management software (PDM) in the manufacturing industry - such as Autodesk Vault, Solidworks EPDM, Windchill, Adept etc.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Qualifications:
* Comprehensive knowledge of Product Data Management solutions (PDM), preferably Autodesk Vault, as well as 2D & 3D CAD applications (Inventor, Solidworks, PTC) and workflows
* Experience working with, and understanding the business benefits of, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions is a huge plus
* Functional skills with programming or application development are desirable
* Familiar with Information Technology standards and best practices
* Experience working inside, or consulting with manufacturers, with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges manufacturers face with data management and collaboration
* The ability to architect and clearly communicate a solution that ties back to the needs of a client
* A passion for technology and process improvement, with the desire and ability to learn new software and solve complex challenges
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A great listener and empathic, but willing to challenge status quo
* Agility in assessing, evaluating, and presenting to technical and non-technical personas
* Self-motivated and ability to maintain organization
* Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
* Ability to travel between 25-35%
