Responsibilities: The role: * Support the SWO Business development team to help formulate a strategy to help the adoption of AWS within the focus industry verticals. * Guide customers to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services following the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. * Help educate enterprise customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud. * Build and run required demos for customers to accelerate sales. * Help provide one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS. * Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architecture community & improve SoftwareONE software architecture practice. * Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates. * Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support. * Customer business process analysis and understanding * Business writing and preparing presentations for customer deliverables. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications * Deep technical skill in infrastructure, software architecture and cloud computing * 7 years of experience in the design and implementation of IT solutions (including scalable cloud-based solutions and microservices architectures) * 4+ years of working in a Solution Architect role closely liaising with AWS or other hyperscalers * Experience with automation to deploy and manage infrastructure, database, and networking architectures for Internet-scale applications. * Experience in Systems Administration of Windows and/or Linux. * Experience with network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Routing * Experience presenting to diverse customer base (CTOs, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and developers) * AWS Solution Architect Certificates: Associates * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications * 7+ years' experience in a customer-facing, sales-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect. * 7+ years' experience building solutions and architecture on AWS * Experience in databases - Oracle, MS SQL, My SQL, DB2, MongoDB, Postgres * Experience in Middleware * AWS Solution Architect Certificates: Developer, Professional * Meets/exceeds SoftwareONE's leadership principles requirements for this role * Meets/exceeds SoftwareONE's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role * Containers: Docker, Kubernetes * DevSecOps practices (DevOps) * Frameworks: (One or more of) Angular, AngularJS, react.js, React Native, Node.js, Ember.js, Vue.js, Flutter * Web Application Frameworks (one or more of): ASP.Net MVC, PHP, Spring
