Overview:
We are seeking a highly hands on experienced Lead Quality and Automation Engineer to execute our testing efforts and ensure the flawless delivery of our enterprise mobile and cloud applications. In this role, define project-level test strategies, and remain hands-on in architecting and automation of test cases, execute end to end tests. The ideal candidate is a skilled mentor, a strategic thinker, and a technical expert who excels at driving quality within a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities:
* Lead Test Development: Complete hands-on ownership of product quality and test automation, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
* Drive Project Test Strategy: Own and define the end-to-end test strategy for major projects and releases. Collaborate with development, product, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage that mitigates risk.
* Automation Test Development: Take a leading role in the design, architecture, design, development and maintenance of our test automation frameworks. Make key technical decisions to improve efficiency, scalability, and ease of use.
* Champion Advanced Testing Practices: Lead the execution of complex testing scenarios, including performance, scalability, and security testing. Ensure that the team is equipped and trained to identify critical, system-level issues.
* Global Quality Alignment: Interface with QA leads across the globe to ensure project strategies are aligned with broader organizational quality goals and standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
* Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation, with at least 1-2 years in a formal or informal leadership/mentorship capacity.
* Test Automation: Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks for both mobile (e.g., Appium, Espresso) and web/API (e.g., Selenium, Postman, REST Assured) applications.
* Platform Expertise: Proven ability to test complex, enterprise level Android and cloud-based applications, demonstrating a deep understanding of their architectures.
* Advanced Testing: Hands-on experience in understanding workflows, usecases, leading the design and execution of performance, load, and scalability tests.
* Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to guide a team and articulate complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* Software Development Skills: Strong development experience in an object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python) and the ability to read and review Android and backend cloud application code.
* EMM Experience: Knowledge of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM/MDM) solutions and experience testing application behavior within managed environments.
* CI/CD Integration: Experience leading the integration of automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to enable continuous testing.
* Security Testing: Familiarity with security scanning tools and a solid understanding of common application vulnerabilities.
* Performance Engineering: Knowledge of advanced tools and techniques for cloud and application performance profiling and optimization.

Salary range starting at: 16 000 PLN per month
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
