Responsibilities:
The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology - Statewide Education Data System). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
This position will work with the TSDS development team to provide the following Software Testing Services:
* Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed performance testing scenarios
* Experience with performance testing methodologies, including load, stress, and endurance testing
* Ability to write and execute performance test scripts
* Experience in analyzing reports for Performance bottlenecks
* Experience in API testing with REST-assured based frameworks
* Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
* Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
* Perform manual testing and data validation
The ECOS development team supports and facilitates the implementation of the Educator Certification suite of applications. These applications facilitate the following:
* educator certification
* criminal history background checks
* educator preparation program functionality supporting educator candidates
* local education agencies hiring and employing certified and non-certified staff
* educator investigations
* agency administrative support
