Responsibilities: Meet the Recruiter: Eric Laffey Shift: Monday - Friday, Day Shift Department: Digital Transformation Job Summary: The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of high-performing Software and DevOps Engineers for Panasonic Energy North America as we develop and deliver a smart factory solution. The candidate will manage and oversee the design and development of software applications for PECNA. We are looking for someone with experience leading development projects and managing engineering teams and who is passionate about building high-performing team cultures. You will join an established team with ripe opportunities for mentoring growing leaders. In addition, you will be responsible for continuing to build out our team as we develop a smart factory. Essential Duties: * The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of software engineers in developing new software products and enhancements. * They will also oversee the definition and documentation of business and technical design requirements. In addition, oversees the preparation of design specifications, analysis and recommendations. * The Software Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with other engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are met on time and within budget. * Provides consistent guidance and direction to each individual, sets goals and objectives, reviews performance, develops career plans, and handles any issues or concerns. * Manages projects by monitoring progress against milestones/deliverables; communicating to all stakeholders; managing issue resolution; escalating risks/concerns as appropriate; modifying plans when necessary to achieve successful project completion. * Participates in business case development for proposed solutions providing accurate estimates of effort required for implementation. * Responsible for developing Software security architecture & design review Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: * To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.
