Software Engineer (TW), II

				Overview:

This position will be leading the product test execution team for the Enterprise Mobile Computing division of Zebra Technologies. We test Android devices concentrating but not limited to WLAN, Bluetooth, Indoor Locationing, WWAN, and GPS technologies. The candidate would be responsible for leading team test activities, executing comprehensive manual and automated tests, and contributing to test script development. We are looking for an innovative technical leader who can blend traditional testing methodologies with cutting-edge technologies to ensure the highest quality of our enterprise-grade products.

Responsibilities:

* Review product requirements and technical specifications.
* Design test strategies based on product requirements and manage the execution of both automated and manual tests.
* Design, execute, and document comprehensive manual test cases tailored for Zebra Android mobile devices, ensuring seamless functionality of rugged hardware features, sensor integrations (e.g., barcode scanners, RFID), and overall UI/UX.
* Perform exploratory, usability, and field testing for device connectivity (WLAN, Bluetooth, WWAN, GPS, and Indoor Locationing) to identify edge-case defects in real-world, enterprise environments.
* Design and implement automated test scripts that are executed by the overall CI/ATS framework.
* Leverage emerging technologies, including GenAI to automate test design, accelerate root-cause analysis, and modernize QA workflows.

Qualifications:

Required Skills

* Python
* Android OS architecture and testing
* BDD Driven Frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework)
* UIAutomator or Appium Experience
* Experience with WWAN/Wi-Fi protocols
* Generative AI & Tech Agility: Hands-on experience with GenAI technologies (e.g., LLMs, AI-driven coding assistants) and a proven, quick-learning aptitude for applying the latest technological advancements to practical, real-world testing solutions.
* Fluent in English

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

* Advanced Android Debugging: High proficiency with Android debugging and logging tools (e.g., ADB, Logcat).
* Hardware/Software Integration: Prior experience testing ruggedized enterprise mobile computers, barcode scanning engines, or IoT devices.
* Test Management & Defect Tracking: Experience using industry-standard tools like Jira and Confluence to track testing lifecycles.
* Non-Functional Testing Basics: Familiarity with testing device performance, thermal limits, battery drain, and mobile security vulnerabilities.
* Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development cycles and working within cross-functional teams.
