Overview: This position is only for candidates who live in BRAZIL. Applications from other countries will not be considered. Avalara is looking for a capable and collaborative AEM Front-End Developer to join our Adobe Engineering & Reliability team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of reusable, accessible components in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites) that support Avalara's global digital marketing efforts. You'll work on a dedicated team focused on building and maintaining a shared component library used across our marketing websites. You'll apply your front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTL, and gain experience with build/deploy pipelines, testing, and analytics integrations. You'll also collaborate with colleagues in Brazil, the United States, and India, so fluency in English is essential. This role is ideal for developers with some professional experience who are ready to deepen their AEM expertise in a structured, supportive team environment. Responsibilities: * Implement front-end components in Adobe Experience Manager, using HTL (Sightly), Style System, and standard web technologies. * Collaborate with UX, design, and QA teams to deliver responsive, accessible, and visually consistent user experiences. * Contribute to enhancements and bug fixes in the AEM component library, ensuring components are reusable and performant. * Integrate AEM components with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target for performance tracking and personalization. * Participate in Agile development processes: planning, standups, retrospectives, and code reviews. * Follow engineering best practices for code quality, accessibility (WCAG), and test coverage using tools like JUnit, Jasmine, or Mocha. * Work with deployment tools via AEM Cloud Manager, supporting build validation and environment promotion. Qualifications: * 2-4 years of front-end or full-stack development experience, including exposure to component-based systems or CMS platforms. * Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of responsive and accessible design. * Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites), particularly in front-end component development using HTL. * Fluent in English (spoken and written); able to work effectively with global teams. * Familiarity with unit testing frameworks for Java and front-end code (e.g., JUnit, etc). * Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile environment.
