Cole Engineering Services (CESI), a By Light company, is recognized as a premier provider of modeling and simulation (M&S) training solutions to the Federal Government and industry. Since 2004, CESI has been at the forefront of developing, maintaining, and integrating simulation-based training, serious gaming, technical services, training and other support in live, virtual, constructive, and gaming (LVCG) domains.  CESI also designs, builds and runs infrastructure, platforms, applications and processes that enable cyber training for the integrated multi-domain force. Our vision is to become a worldwide full spectrum LVCG and cyber training/analysis developer, integrator and services provider.

Responsibilities:

* Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis.
* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less-experienced engineering staff.
* Work through an agile based full-cycle development that includes requirements analysis, design, & implementation.  
* Apply software engineering standards and assist the engineering team in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts.
* Understands and adheres to project schedules and stays within established budgets.
* Efficiently diagnose and debug front-end and back-end software issues.
* Clearly and effectively communicate problems and solutions with the team and external stakeholders, both verbally and electronically.
* Plans, conducts, technically directs and evaluates software projects across and agile development cycle.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
* Minimum of 8+ years applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience.
* Minimum 10+ years software engineering experience. 
* Strong object-oriented programming expertise 
* Strong expertise with JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, React, Angular and other related libraries desired
* Experience in Linux shell scripting
* Experience in cloud-based infrastructures and environments
