Cole Engineering Services (CESI), a By Light company, is recognized as a premier provider of modeling and simulation (M&S) training solutions to the Federal Government and industry. Since 2004, CESI has been at the forefront of developing, maintaining, and integrating simulation-based training, serious gaming, technical services, training and other support in live, virtual, constructive, and gaming (LVCG) domains. CESI also designs, builds and runs infrastructure, platforms, applications and processes that enable cyber training for the integrated multi-domain force. Our vision is to become a worldwide full spectrum LVCG and cyber training/analysis developer, integrator and services provider. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. * Minimum 2+ years applicable software engineering experience. * Work with cross-functional teams in an agile based full-cycle development that includes requirements analysis, design, & implementation. * Elevate software engineering standards and assist the engineering team in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts. * Engage in software delivery best practices by implementing/expanding unit tests, integration tests and discussing edge-case trade-offs between productivity and stability * Understands and adheres to project schedules and stays within established budgets. * Break down complex issues, on both the front-end and back-end, into smaller, manageable solutions. * Clearly and effectively communicate problems and solutions with the team, both verbally and electronically * Strong object-oriented programming expertise * Expertise with JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, React, Angular or other related libraries desired. * Experience in Linux shell scripting
