				Overview:

The Novant Health Center for Pediatric Development is seeking a Social Worker to conduct behavior therapy utilizing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PICT) and provide education and contact information to patients and families regarding needed community resources. The social worker will also conduct psychosocial assessments and interventions to improve or maintain patients' social, emotional, and physical health status.

The Center for Pediatric Development is one of only three clinics of its kind across North Carolina and the first in Charlotte. Our incredible team of providers works every day to coach parents and kids who are experiencing trauma, behavioral differences, educational differences and developmental delays. Located in the Grier Heights community, the current patient population is over 50% insured by Medicaid showing how the Center for Pediatric Development is meeting our most at-risk youth and families right in their community. Come work alongside our newly opened Center for Pediatric Development to grow our RISE Program, representing Resilient Individuals Strengthening Every day. The RISE program is in the process of hiring a social worker to provide PCIT to children who need this behavior therapy. The social worker will also provide additional support to families who have a child who screens high on our Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) screening. ACEs screening is utilized to help identify kids who have experienced trauma, including hunger, abuse, divorce, and loss of a parent. With the support of our social worker, families can have greater access to community resources to support their family and their child in their journey to wholeness and healing.
