				Overview:

The Licensed Social Worker is a critical role that involves implementing social work and counseling activities to assist patients in need of treatment. This includes providing technical assistance, developing program plans, and adhering to state and federal laws as well as agency/institution policies. The Licensed Social Worker plays a vital role in supporting patients and their families through compassionate and professional care, making a meaningful impact on their well-being.

Responsibilities:

*  Lead coordination of work assignments for co-workers and/or subordinate employees, prioritizing activities and project deadlines for patients, and providing technical assistance as needed.

*  Conduct interviews, assessments, and counseling sessions with patients to obtain background information, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress according to measurable goals.

*  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise, review, and modify treatment plans for patients, and provide consultation to security and healthcare staff on patients' behaviors and mental health concerns.

*  Prepare and maintain reports, documentation, and summaries of patient history, diagnosis, and treatment course in compliance with facility and company policies.

*  Participate in treatment team meetings, assist in job shadowing and orientation of new employees, and ensure services are provided in compliance with safety and mental health policies and procedures. 

Qualifications:

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or Other Related field.

Experience

* One (1) or more years of experience in a Mental Health treatment program, preferably in a Correctional or Hospital setting preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

* Licensed or license-eligible as a Social Worker Licensed by the Social Work Licensing Board.
* Must maintain all licensures, certifications, and continuing educational requirements.
