We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Marketing Specialist to elevate our social media presence and foster meaningful engagement with diverse audiences. In this role, you will drive content creation, community management, and customer service across North American social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and our blog. You'll also explore new opportunities on emerging platforms like TikTok and Pinterest, ensuring we stay ahead of digital trends.
As a key member of our marketing team, you will collaborate closely to maintain a consistent brand voice across channels, align social media strategies with broader business goals, and champion content that reflects and resonates with a wide range of perspectives. Your insights into audience behavior, trends, and data will guide strategic decisions to optimize our social media impact.
Responsibilities:
* Social Strategy: Develop and execute social media strategies based on research, audience insights, and industry trends to build connections and increase brand awareness.
* Content Creation & Storytelling: Create, edit, and share compelling content that represents diverse perspectives and engages with our audience meaningfully.
* Community Engagement: Foster an inclusive online community by engaging with followers, addressing inquiries, and facilitating conversations in collaboration with customer service.
* Content Planning & Scheduling: Manage the content calendar and schedule posts using Brandwatch or similar tools, working with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistency.
* SEO & Blogging: Partner with the web team to develop blog content that enhances SEO and provides value to a broad range of customers.
* Video Content Development: Lead the creation of educational and engaging videos for YouTube, ensuring the content reflects diverse customer needs.
* Brand Voice & Moderation: Protect and promote the company's brand voice, ensuring user-generated content aligns with our community guidelines.
* Performance Analysis: Regularly report on social media metrics, using insights to adjust strategies and optimize engagement with diverse demographics.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years in social media, digital marketing, or online communications, with experience in organic and paid social strategies.
Skills & Expertise:
* Proficient with LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and Twitter.
* Strong writing skills for social media and blogs, with a focus on inclusive and accessible content.
* Familiarity with social media scheduling tools like Brandwatch.
* Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, analytics, and social advertising.
* Customer-Centric Approach: Demonstrated experience responding to customers on social channels and fostering an inclusive online community.
* Collaboration & Communication: Experience working with diverse teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.
