Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking leader to serve as Senior Vice President of Technology and Innovation (SVP, T/I).
This executive will be responsible for aligning IT initiatives with our mission to deliver compassionate, innovative behavioral health care. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the SVP, T/I will work closely with operations to advance technology-enabled care, cultivate productive vendor partnerships, and ensure that IT systems effectively support our clinicians, staff, and the individuals and families we serve. This leader will drive innovation to meet the organization's evolving needs while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment that empowers teams and elevates the quality of care and safety.
The SVP, T/I will provide oversight and direction for all aspects of technology strategy, including policy development, enterprise systems planning, telecommunications, data governance, and project implementation. This role is accountable for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and fiscal stewardship across all technology functions.
This role reports to the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.
This role provides an opportunity to:
* Spearhead transformative technology initiatives within a nationally recognized behavioral health organization.
* Partner with senior leadership to foster innovation and enhance operational effectiveness
* Influence the strategic IT direction of an enterprise with annual revenues exceeding $600 million.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Oversee information systems, telecommunications, and data integrity initiatives to ensure alignment with operational and financial objectives, as well as the organization's strategic plan.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures that maintain regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
* Lead the formulation and implementation of the organization's technology enabled innovation roadmap drawing on existing and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, to enhance operations, safety, quality and further long-term strategic goals.
* Establish best practices for information security, system functionality, and operational risk mitigation.
* Lead enterprise-wide technology projects, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and timely execution.
* Prepare and manage the annual budget for Information Resources, optimizing resource utilization while maintaining fiscal accountability.
* Drive the integration of diverse information systems and oversee comprehensive data management, administration, and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
* Leverage advanced data analytics platforms, with a focus on Microsoft PowerBI, to provide actionable insights that support clinical and quality outcome measurement, operational efficiency, financial integrity and strategic decision-making across the organization.
* Lead the development, execution and maintenance of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that incorporates resilient technical defenses, continuous, real-time threat monitoring, and organization-wide employee training to protect sensitive data, ensure compliance, and foster a security-conscious culture.
* Provide strategic and technical oversight of multi-cloud services, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure through effective architecture design, resource optimization, and management of vendor and partner relationships to support innovation and agility.
* Provide leadership in vendor management, cultivating strategic partnerships with critical providers. Oversee contract negotiations, performance evaluation, and collaborative innovation initiatives to maximize vendor value, mitigate risks, and support the delivery of behavioral health services.
* Cultivate and maintain collaborative partnerships across all departments including but not limited to operations, clinical, finance and people operations to ensure technology solutions effectively support organizational goals, enhance operational workflows, and foster a unified approach to delivering exceptional behavioral health care.
* Partners with the Devereux Board of Trustees to ensure transparency and clarity in all areas of strategic technology and innovation.

Qualifications:
* Graduate degree in computer information systems or a related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5 years in a senior management role within a multi-site, multi-state organization. Healthcare industry experience required.
* Proven experience in mid- to senior-level operations role preferably within a Behavioral Healthcare environment.
* Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities; proven expertise in contract negotiation, finance/accounting, staff development and change management.
