As our new Senior VMware & Nutanix Consultant, you will join the Professional Services team within Virtualization and Cloud. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise virtualized environments, leading migration initiatives, automation strategies, and disaster recovery solutions. You will act as a technical reference for customers and internal teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement virtualized environments using VCF, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite
* Lead migrations from physical or legacy environments to modern VMware and Nutanix infrastructures
* Configure and manage HA, DRS, storage policies, distributed networking, and micro-segmentation
* Automate operations and repetitive tasks using vRealize Orchestrator, PowerCLI, or Terraform
* Implement disaster recovery solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager
* Integrate backup and monitoring solutions (Veeam, Commvault, vRealize Operations, Zabbix)
* Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and executive reports
Qualifications:
Requirements:
* Strong experience with VMware platforms (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX-T, HCX, vRealize Operations, vRealize Automation)
* Solid knowledge of virtual networking, micro-segmentation, and enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, vSAN)
* Experience with Nutanix platforms (AOS, AHV, Prism Element/Central, Flow, Files, Objects, Calm)
* Experience integrating with public cloud environments (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, Google Cloud VMware Engine)
* Ability to manage technical projects, interact directly with customers, and lead deliverables
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders
Desirable:
* Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
* Knowledge of CMDB, ITSM, monitoring, and backup tools
* Familiarity with Kubernetes and Tanzu
* Scripting and automation experience (PowerCLI, Python, Terraform)
* Certifications such as VMware VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, VCAP, ITIL Foundation, or AWS/Azure Fundamentals
