Responsibilities:
GFT is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to join our Transportation team in Owings Mills! This role follows a hybrid work model.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Prepares basic and complex planning studies involving a variety of multimodal systems.
* Gathers and records information to be used in transportation planning studies.
* Prepare and oversee development of studies and technical reports related to long range transportation planning, climate and resiliency assessments, , benefit cost analysis, and economic development.
* Prepare and oversee development of transportation purpose and need assessments, multi-modal evaluations, logical termini/independent utility analyses, engineering feasibility and transportation planning studies, development and analysis of alternatives, and transportation visioning. Works as part of a project team within the transportation planning discipline including coordination with other business lines.
* Meet with clients to collect information, share progress, and present results.
* Limited professional society engagement.
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* BA or BS in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, or related field
* Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), or Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) certification preferred
What we prefer you bring:
* 6 + years of applicable experience
* Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or GIS preferred
* Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook, Project)
* Good oral and written communication skills
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
