Overview: Senior Test Engineer Location: Hyderabad, India | Hybrid (3 days per week in office) About This Role Hyland is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of software testing and quality assurance experience to join our team, responsible for writing code and test scripts, identifying tools for functional and non-functional tests, and contributing to the OnBase automated test frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and products. In this role, you will design test plans, test procedures, and code and test scripts to accurately assess the functionality of OnBase products related to Government, Financial Services, and Cross-Industry. You will collaborate with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, and software modifications. Here's What You'll Do. * Develop and maintain complex integration, functional, and non-functional tests and automated test frameworks across teams to ensure the holistic quality of the software; complete complex peer code reviews for test automation code and incorporate feedback into automated tests. * Lead and maintain the implementation of the delivery pipeline including test automation frameworks, build environments, test environments, and security; influence and lead on standards and processes of team events including planning, work estimation, peer reviews, and test design. * Lead the verification of system functionality by executing complex automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations; create and manage performance metrics, defects/enhancements, test cases, and test results within a team. * Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and best practice knowledge; identify and implement better test tools and automation methodology. * Analyze and report test results and monitor trends over time; assess the business value and broader impact of software changes when designing automated tests; contribute to the prioritization of team backlog. * Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of the team; research complex escalations for production issues or software issues to ensure the stability of the application. Role Essentials * BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job. * Demonstrated experience with all phases of the test lifecycle, including software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks. * Demonstrated experience with Jenkins pipelines or equivalent continuous integration tools, as well as working with test automation reports; experience documenting standards and best practice guidelines. * Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and API testing tools such as Postman/Bruno is an added bonus; experience with security compliance activities such as SOC2, NIST, FedRAMP, etc. is an added bonus. * Strong oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact; strong collaboration and critical thinking skills. Technology Tools * Jenkins / Continuous Integration Tools * JMeter * Postman / Bruno * XUnit / NUnit * Selenium / Playwright * MS SQL Server * Git / TFS What We'd Like to See (Preferred Skills) * Demonstrated experience with test design and critical thinking; experience using source control systems such as Git or TFS; experience with Agile frameworks and regression testing, reporting, and bug tracking. * Demonstrated experience in creation and maintenance of automated tests in XUnit/NUnit; understanding of automation frameworks such as Selenium/Playwright is an added bonus. * Demonstrated experience with databases such as MS SQL Server and development on Windows platforms; strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Strong leadership, sound judgment, and business acumen skills; demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners; strong at using original thinking to translate goals into new ideas and design solutions. * Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion; able to work independently and in a team environment; driven to learn and stay current professionally.
