Responsibilities:
Senior Technical Product Owner sought by DISH Network LLC in Englewood, CO
Ensure product backlog and vision are communicated to the development team. Break down and prioritize delivery of products and features by developing and maintaining the product backlog, user stories, and cross-product dependencies. Elicit, identify, document, and refine requirements from business problems to detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that may include technical requirements. Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, developers, QA, and other team members to analyze information and functional requirements, advocate the development process through to implementation, and ensure the delivered product meets business needs. Perform acceptance testing for user stories and features. Manage stakeholder needs & requests while balancing product roadmap priorities. Facilitate iteration planning sessions, daily team stand-ups, grooming sessions, and retros. Track and report on teamwork completed, capacity, backlog, velocity. Forecast product/feature delivery timelines. Use metrics and feedback to improve team and organization processes, best practices, performance, and delivery. Assist with deployments and production support issues.
The products that are being referenced are web and mobile applications used by both DISH customers and by DISH field technicians. There are two web applications, one receiver-based application, and five mobile applications-one for customers and four for technicians. The Senior Technical Product Owner would work in the telecommunications and pay-TV industry, supporting customer-facing and technician-facing applications. The Senior Technical Product Owner follows Agile processes using tools like JIRA and Rally for task management and performance metrics. The Senior Technical Product Owner oversees product roadmaps, manages production tickets through ServiceNow, and participates in daily scrums and defect triage. The Senior Technical Product Owner ensures timely deployments using CI/CD tools such as Alfred and GitHub, aligning delivery with business, market, and IT priorities.
Qualifications:
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate industry experience in job offered, Software Engineer, or similar roles. Must have 5 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
* Agile processes and methodologies;
* Good working knowledge of deployment process and CI/CD processes;
* Service Now, Swagger, Tableau, Agile, Site improve, Jenkins, GIT, Alfred, LogZ, React, Spring, Dynatrace, and Adobe Analytics
