Responsibilities: * Provides technical support * Lead and engage system architecture and system design discussion. * Assist with system integration and technical management. * Assists in providing technical input to the systems engineering process. * Leads teams in developing technical plans. * Guide customers in the installation and use of strategic products through education and guidance. * Experience in tuning assistance problem solving and critical situation resolution. Qualifications: * Proven expertise in VMware vSphere administration, including: vMotion, HA, and DRS configuration * Managing and optimizing multi-clustered ESXi environments * Performance tuning and capacity management * Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS server hardware * Proficiency in virtual machine deployment and administration on Microsoft and Linux platforms * Demonstrated capability in VMware Aria Automation (vRA) and VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO) for virtualization automation workflows * Experience supporting government or large-scale enterprise data center environments * Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation components beyond vSphere * Background in automation scripting (JavaScript) to support and extend vRA/vRO workflows Education: * Master's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 10+ years' work experience * Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (20 years total) Clearance: * The ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation Location: * Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site) * Monday - Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST Time) * Austin Information Technology Center (AITC) 1615 Woodward Street, Austin, TX 78741
