Responsibilities:
At Keysight EDA, we're building the next generation of Electronic Design Automation tools, combining machine learning and expert-driven software to accelerate RFIC (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit) design workflows. We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Software Engineer to help shape and deliver a high-impact, AI-powered Windows desktop application for the chip design industry.
As a senior member of our growing team, you'll take a lead role in designing and implementing performant, multithreaded desktop software, working closely with our architects, ML researchers, and domain experts. You'll help drive engineering best practices, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to shaping the technical direction of the product.
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in low-level, systems-focused development and are excited about applying AI to solve complex, real-world engineering problems.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including desktop application development
Proficiency in Python
Proficiency in C++ or Rust
Strong fundamentals in systems programming and memory management
Experience building multithreaded, performance-sensitive applications
Familiarity with at least one UI framework (e.g., Qt, PySide6, WPF, or React)
Experience developing for Windows (MSVC) platforms or Linux (GCC) platforms
Strong architectural and OOP skills
Knowledge of at least one automated testing framework
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience with modern DevOps practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), and build systems
Basic understanding of machine learning workflows
Curiosity about or exposure to RFIC design or EDA tools
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative, Agile environment.

California Pay range: MIN $138,960.00 - MAX $231,600.00
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
