Senior Salesforce Developer

				Overview:

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to work in a hybrid capacity, with two on-site days per week (Monday and Tuesday) at the Ohio Department of Medicaid in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports a critical in-house application and requires candidates to reside within commuting distance of Columbus.

Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, test, document, and deploy advanced Salesforce solutions on the Force.com platform.

* Build and manage Salesforce Communities.

* Maintain and enhance workflows, Flows, and system functions using Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, and Lightning Components.

* Lead integration efforts with internal and third-party systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

* Develop custom reports, dashboards, and macro-driven reports for senior leadership.

* Oversee user acceptance testing, including writing test cases and validating results.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business goals and improve customer experiences.

* Create and maintain detailed documentation (UI guides, policies, change requests, etc.).

* Support data migration and import using tools like Data Loader, Jitterbit, and MuleSoft.

* Proactively identify system improvements and communicate updates to users.

* Mentor and train internal state development staff.

* Monitor and resolve system issues, including exception logs for backend integrations.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

* 8-10 years of experience in information systems analysis, design, and development.

* 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud).

* 5+ years of Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, and Lightning Component development.

* 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, customizing, and coding in Salesforce.

* 5+ years of experience building and managing Salesforce Communities.

* 5+ years of experience working with the SFDC data model and performing data migrations/integrations.

* 5+ years of experience in Agile/SCRUM software development environments.

* 3+ years of experience using Salesforce tools like Data Loader, Outlook Connector, Jitterbit, or MuleSoft.

* Strong experience with Salesforce reporting tools and performance optimization.

* Experience with third-party API integrations and troubleshooting.
