Overview: We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to drive new business sales efforts in the Iberia region. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on acquiring mid-market and enterprise customers and expanding Avalara's presence in the region. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in technology sales, ideally within tax technology or financial systems, and a strong understanding of ERP ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, Workday). In addition to direct sales responsibilities, this role will collaborate on regional marketing initiatives and partner development strategies to help build Avalara's brand and pipeline in Spain and Portugal. Responsibilities: * Drive net new revenue by identifying new customers across mid-market and enterprise segments in Spain and Portugal. * Understand client needs and position Avalara's tax compliance solutions as a strategic fit. * Build and manage a pipeline through direct outreach, marketing collaboration, and partner relationships. * Develop territory and account plans that reflect Avalara's growth priorities in the region. * Collaborate with marketing to localize campaigns and drive regional lead generation. * Partner with Avalara Alliance Managers focusing on the regional partner ecosystem, including ERP vendors to develop referral and co-selling opportunities. * Provide regional insight and feedback to inform Avalara's go-to-market strategy and product development. * Maintain knowledge of tax legislation and trends relevant to the region. Qualifications: * Experience in B2B sales within FinTech, or tax technology. * 5+ years of experience in new business development, including outbound prospecting with experience exceeding sales targets. * Familiarity with ERP platforms and how they integrate with tax or financial solutions. * An understanding of the tax industry and regulations in Spain and the wider European region. * Fluency in Spanish and English. * Experience working autonomously in a remote environment while collaborating with global teams. * Experience contributing to regional marketing or channel/partner strategies would be beneficial.
