Overview: We're looking for a driven and experienced Senior Sales Executive to help accelerate our growth across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). In this high-impact role, you'll focus on winning new mid-market and enterprise customers while playing a key part in expanding Avalara's footprint in the region. This is more than just a sales role - you'll be at the forefront of building momentum in DACH. You'll work closely with marketing on regional campaigns and collaborate with partners to strengthen our presence and pipeline. This is a remote role and you will report in to the Sales Director for the DACH region. #LI-remote Responsibilities: Drive new business growth across the DACH region, winning mid-market and enterprise customers. Get to the heart of customer challenges and position Avalara's tax compliance solutions as a true strategic advantage. Build a strong pipeline through a mix of outbound efforts, marketing collaboration, and partner engagement. Create smart territory and account plans aligned with our growth ambitions in DACH. Work closely with marketing to tailor campaigns that resonate locally and generate high-quality leads. Team up with Alliance Managers and Partners to unlock co-selling and referral opportunities. Bring your market insights to the table to help shape our go-to-market strategy and influence product direction. Stay on top of tax regulations and trends in the DACH region to keep conversations impactful. Qualifications: A strong track record of success in B2B sales (SaaS, ERP, FinTech, or tax tech). 5+ years of experience in new business development, consistently achieving targets. Solid understanding of ERP systems - ideally SAP - and how they connect with tax or finance solutions. Familiarity with the tax landscape and regulatory environment in the DACH region is a plus. Fluency in both German and English. A self-starter with the ability to thrive in a remote setup while staying closely connected to global teams. Bonus points if you've worked on regional marketing initiatives or partner/channel strategies.
