As a Senior Safety Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety and occupational health programs. This senior-level role ensures compliance with federal, state, country, and DoD safety regulations while promoting a proactive, risk-based safety culture. The position leads site safety assessments, accident prevention programs, and training initiatives across multiple BIM project locations. As the primary advisor on health and safety matters, this role collaborates with program leadership, field supervisors, and government stakeholders to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and maintain continuous compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards.
 
Position will be located at Patrick SFB.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities:

Major Job Activities: 

* Senior OSHA-certified role, overseeing all aspects of team and USG personnel on-site safety related to survey and installation work in HAZMAT, underground, confined spaces, and other dangerous situations.
* Develop safety plan and training materials for all staff.
* Conducts inspections of work sites and audit compliance with all safety policies and protocols.
* Serves as the On-Site Safety Officer on the installation site and works full time monitoring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
* Possesses knowledge or experience of safety management and safety engineering.
* Possesses physical presence and experience working on implementation or installation sites of various sizes and project complexity.
* Produces reports regarding safety incidents and inputs data deliverables for the safety incidents.
* Ensuring installations are performed within safety standards and work site conditions (cleanliness), including restoration of the site to original or better condition.
* Evaluates performance results and recommends changes for continuous improvement.
* Functions as a safety expert across multiple project assignments.

Material & Equipment Directly Used: 

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). 

Working Environment: 

Office environment with potential to support austere locations.

Physical Activities: 

Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

Education / Certifications: 

* Technical BA / BS Degree; Or
* High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
* OSHA Certified
* Construction Safety 30-hour Training
* Confined Space Training
* First Aid Training

Experience / Skills: 

* 7 years with BA / BS Degree
* Minimum of 10 years performing as a Safety Lead, Manager, or Officer supporting solutions on large, complex projects with High School Diploma or Associate Degree.

Clearance Requirement:

* This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier 3) level clearance.

Skills & Technology Used:

* Experience supporting DoD projects, specifically network modernization projects.
* Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
