Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a Senior Land Representative to join our Land Services team in Pennsylvania! The Senior Land Representatives will serve as a representative of Colliers Engineering & Design to communicate the client program to customers and acquire land rights on behalf of the client.
Responsibilities:
* Represent client in a positive and professional manner while providing a positive experience with the landowner.
* Assist with researching public records to determine property ownership.
* Adhere to and Monitor Client and Company Standards and Procedures (e.g. safety, use of PPE).
* Document landowner communications and send customer concerns to Project Manager.
* Serve as notary in acknowledgment of legal signatures.
* Ensure notary information is entered correctly.
* Ensure documents are processed timely for recording.
* Complete documentation to close out files.
* Be able to negotiate with landowner within client parameters.
* Have a general understanding of land rights and the acquisition of land rights.
* Make initial contact with landowners to discuss project impacts.
* Prepare client deliverable packages.
* Must possess "team player" attitude and ensure all projects are completed by let schedule.
* Must have a flexible schedule to meet landowners when available.
* Agent is responsible for completing assignments within the given deadline & monitoring entry level agents.
Qualifications:
* Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent.
* IRWA certifications a plus.
* Pennsylvania State Real Estate License required.
* 2-3 years of transportation right of way acquisition experience a must.
* Must have a valid driver's license and valid car insurance.
* Must be able to acquire a notary within 45 days (about 1 and a half months) of employment.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Should be comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people.
* Training or mentoring of entry level staff a plus.
* Local municipality right of way experience a must.
* PENNDOT right of way experience a plus.
* Can work independently.
* Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook, Google Earth and databases such as SharePoint or equivalent.
* Demonstrated organizational, planning and negotiation skills.
* Analytical skills and ability to solve problems under pressure.
* Excellent customer service skills; in person and over the phone with internal and external customers and clients.
* Ability to engage in small talk and talk to strangers (over the phone and in person).
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectively.
* Previous DOT or local governemnt transportation experience required.
* Familiarity with working within Uniform Act guidelines.
* Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
