Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus 5 years of experience or Master's degree plus 3 years.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Utilizing your arsenal of skills and talents, the Advanced Reliability Engineer will review engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements. You'll also advise and confer with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability and maintainability findings and recommendations. We'll rely on you to analyze engineering-design concepts of product to recommend design or test methods for attaining customer-specified operational reliability, using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reliability Analysis: Perform detailed reliability analyses, including Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify potential failure modes and their impacts.
* Data Analysis: Analyze field data, test data, and other reliability data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and areas for improvement.
* Design for Reliability (DfR): Collaborate with design engineering teams to incorporate reliability principles into product design and development processes, ensuring that reliability is a key consideration from the outset.
* Predictive Maintenance: Implement predictive maintenance strategies and tools to monitor the health of systems and components, enabling proactive maintenance and reducing downtime.
* Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reliability reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.
* Continuous Improvement: Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product reliability, reducing warranty costs, and improving customer satisfaction.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems, manufacturing, quality assurance, and our customers, to ensure reliability goals are met throughout the product lifecycle.
* Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to reliability engineering.

What you bring to the table:
* Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or in a related technical field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
* Fully proficient understanding and ability to apply basic project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls
* Fully proficient in the principles and techniques of Reliability Engineering
