Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Architecture team in Syracuse, New York! This person will be responsible for managing, directing, and supervising the work efforts of assigned staff to coordinate the technical and managerial direction provided by Management regarding scope, schedule, quality and budget of projects. Responsible for monitoring and assisting in achieving department, division, and corporate financial measures. Senior Project Managers are responsible for the overall management of large scale, complex projects and staff including other Project Managers.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare effective work plans and labor budgets for approval by Department Manager.
* Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.
* Identify the project team, work packages and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables and labor hours required on projects.
* Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
* Oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects.
* Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, schedule of events and an estimation of staff requirements as necessary.
* Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provides other Marketing support, including Business Development.
* Hold team meetings ensuring procedures governing review and approval of projects are followed prior to submission of completed work.
* Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors' approval.
* Coordinate and communicate effectively with all employees involved in the project to ensure high utilization rates (i.e. Project team meetings).
* Review monthly labor and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the predetermined profit goal.
* Ensure everyone involved is working in accordance with all project planning and profit control procedures.
* Ensure that all budgets affecting the project schedule and/or fee budget are discussed with the client.
* Solicit help and involvement from Department Managers and any other managers to troubleshoot any technical problems.
* Works efficiently with the Billing Department to authorize and transmit bills to client.
* Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
* Adhere to Health and Safety program and all applicable SOPs.
* Review time sheets of direct reports during a specified reporting period.
* Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.
* May oversee the activities of assigned staff, including but not limited to timesheet review and approval, performance evaluation and daily supervision.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent work experience as required to maintain licensed architect status.
* Architecture Licensure (NY) Required. NJ & CT a plus.
* 12+ years of experience as an Architect.
* Previous experience managing the full lifecycle of projects including planning, scope, definition, design, execution, and delivery.
* LEED accreditation preferred.
* Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
* Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong business acumen, technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.
* Willingness to mentor team members on technical and professional skills.
* Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
* Versed in developing qualifications and fee proposals.
* Experience with or strong interest in business development and interview activities.
* Project management experience preferred in planning and executing design/construction projects.
* Willing to travel frequently to client sites, meetings, and conferences.
* Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation: $115,000 to $144,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
