Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Leads the VA LAN IRP project that involves the successful management of team composed of data processing and other information management professionals who have been involved in analysis, design, integration, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing LAN infrastructure systems. 
* Overseas Project Management team who performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations and group of personnel at multiple locations.
* Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities.
* Demonstrates written and oral communication skills.
* Establishes and alters (as necessary) program management structure to direct effective contract support activities.   
* Interface with Government management personnel, staffing of all tasks, formulating and enforcing work standards, creating personnel and project schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, and communicating Government policies, purposes, and goals to the contractor team.
* Submit evaluations and recommendations that could potentially improve operations that are out-of-scope of the current contract to the COR and/or Contracting Officer (CO) for action.
* Establish a comprehensive communications plan that provides a communications strategy with key controls to ensure clear lines of performance responsibility and effective collaboration with the government and service partners.
* Track and monitor effective and timely communications pertaining to all active task orders in accordance with the government approved communications plan.
* Interact with government and contractor personnel to operate all systems at highest, acceptable level of availability and the reconstitution of essential systems to alternate site(s).
* Incorporate change management procedures that mitigate and reduce the impact of change-related incidents and ensure optimization of operational tasks.
* Maintain Program Management Plan that describes the technical approach, organizational resources, and management controls employed to meet the cost, performance, and schedule requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of the task order.
* Conduct In-Process Reviews (IPRs) weekly, and as needed, and provide information regarding contract status.
* Provide worldwide (CONUS and OCONUS) support in a fully unified, integrated manner.
* Recruit and Retain program staff

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* PMP Certification highly desired - candidate may use tuition reimbursement to obtain within the first 12 months of employment
* Have 5 years of experience in program management; and 10 years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields; have experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones; have experience in analyzing a variety of source documentation and supporting the creation of acquisition documentation.
* Management experience within the Department of Veteran Affairs highly preferred
* Experience managing large-scale enterprise contracts for the Federal Government
