We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and driven professional to join us as a Senior Power BI Developer within our Data and Analytics Team.  Our technology team is dynamic, with a strong sense of dedication to our customers. Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and leadership to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. Per our company policy, we will require this position to be in office 5 days a week. 

You Will Make an Impact By

*  Designing and developing advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using DAX and Power Query.

*  Translating business requirements into technical specifications and creating reports that meet business needs.

*  Optimizing performance of BI solutions, including data modeling and report refresh efficiency.

*  Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming it into Business Intelligence reporting.

*  Building and maintaining complex data models in Power BI.

*  Collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure high data quality and availability.

*  Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior Power BI developers.

*  Staying current on Power BI features, updates, and industry best practices.

*  Creating documentation for data models, workflows, and processes.

*  Working with stakeholders to define KPIs and success metrics.

*  Ensuring data governance and security best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

*  Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including creating complex reports, dashboards, and custom visualizations. Significant work experience can substitute for formal education. Working knowledge of standard project management methodology, tools and software. 

*  Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query for data transformation and modeling in Power BI. Experience in Power BI Service for sharing reports, managing workspaces, and automating report scheduling. Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and reporting strategies. Ability to work with large datasets and perform performance tuning to ensure scalability and efficiency in Power BI reports. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable insights to business users. Experience with integrating Power BI with other business systems and data sources is a plus.

*  Security Knowledge: Knowledge and prior experience with common security and privacy standards - PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA - and implicit integration of these security standards in all aspects of your work. Understanding of Power BI workspace roles.

*  Documentation Toolset Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products for authoring and collaboration is required.

What Will Set You Apart
Our preferred candidate will also bring one or more of the following skills:

*  Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., PL-300 or PL-600).

*  Familiarity with data visualization best practices and user experience design for BI solutions.

*  Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

*  Ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization and with cross functional teams.

*  Experience in travel, hospitality and/or cruise industries.

COMPENSATION:  The salary range for this position is $105,000.00 to $115,000.00.
