				Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Oracle Database Developer to support our client's contract needs. This position is located in the Washington DC area and will be a full remote position. 

Responsibilities:

* Extensive Oracle database experience    
* Recent Oracle experience
* Create and maintain complex stored procedures/packages for Oracle
* Create and maintain database schemas for Oracle
* Create and maintain partitions in oracle to facilitate query performance and data maintenance
* Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements. 
* Modify existing procedures/packages to incorporate new functionalities. 
* UNIX Shell scripting  
* Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans. 
* Perform code reviews and bug fixing. 
* Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages. 
* Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approach to ensure compliance across the team. 
* Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems. 
* Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team. 
* Use of Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux. 
* Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolves issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team 

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 12+ years (or commensurate experience) in IT                             

Required Skills and Experience

* Extensive and recent Oracle database experience    
* AWS Experience or GCP experience
* 7-8 years of PL/SQL development experience 
*  Excellent written and oral communication skills
*  Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
*  Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
*  Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems
*  Work well independently and within a team
*  Proficient in Microsoft Office
*  Excellent time management skills
*  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
*  Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge

Clearance Required: Able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and must have been within US for the last 5 years with no cumulative travel outside the US exceeding 6 months.
