Responsibilities:
GFT Water Corporate Business Group is looking for a thoughtful and driven experienced Senior Municipal Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Philadelphia, PA office.

What you'll be challenged to do:
The Senior Municipal Engineer will assume the responsibility of leading multiple project related tasks with state, local and municipal clients in the region, and mentoring junior staff, and working in a dynamic yet collaborative team setting.
You will need to be flexible and open to regional travel within the Greater Philadelphia area to help support GFT's Southeastern PA municipal client base. In addition, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and guidance to ensure that quality management, design and technical services are provided to clients, while at the same time meeting performance targets such as scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Leading civil and water resources related planning and design projects including general municipal public works projects (paving projects, parking lots, etc.), sanitary sewer designs, stormwater management, local, county and state permitting, and construction phase services.
Business development including preparation of proposals (technical and price), interviews and presentations, design and production including plans, specifications and cost estimates, and coordination and management of efforts to subconsultants and subcontractors will be required. You will be expected to meet with and interact with clients with minimal oversight from the Business Unit manager, including attendance at regularly scheduled Township, Borough and Authority meetings as requested by the client.
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources Engineering or related field of practice is required. Master's Degree is a plus.
* Pennsylvania Professional Engineer license required
* Minimum 10 years of experience in municipal engineering with direct involvement in zoning, subdivisions and stormwater work, etc.
* Direct experience completing projects with public sector/municipal agencies is required.
* Experience in Authority work (Act 537, sewer system design and studies/reports, etc.)
* Strong interpersonal skills; good public speaking ability; strong project financial management skills; knowledge of production support systems and personal computer proficiency are all required competencies.
* Experience in providing technical and project leadership to staff-level or junior engineers.
* A strong background using AutoCAD and/or Microstation and/or Civil 3D is a plus.
* Experience using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS or other Bentley-related modeling programs is a plus.
* Experience or desire to market their skills and build relationships with local clients.
* Experience with design build projects is a plus.
