Overview: Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior MicroStation Designer to assist on a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects in our Upstate New York offices! Colliers Engineering & Design offers aspiring engineers and designers the opportunity to work on a very diverse range of bridge and structural projects, often complex in nature for a wide spectrum of clients. The work setting is highly collaborative with structured mentoring from a team of seasoned engineers. As we move forward as part of Colliers Engineering & Design, we continue to be a trusted advisor to clients, provide vital support and advisement on projects that have a positive and lasting impact on communities and society as a whole. Come make an impact on our Bridge Team, today! This position is listed in Upstate New York, with the expectation of all interested candidates working out of our Buffalo, Rochester or Albany offices! Responsibilities: * Produce CAD drawings for new or reconstructed bridges and structures. * Prepare quantity take-offs from CAD and surface model files. * Prepare reinforcing bar detailing for reinforced concrete structures. * Apply and integrate various client CAD standards into CAD templates. * May develop 3D CAD models for substructures, grading and alignments/profiles. * Assist the engineering and project management team with the development of CAD design methodology and practices. * Perform drawing QA/QC on work products from other CADD design and engineering staff. Qualifications: * Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline. * 5-15 years of CADD bridge/structure design experience. * Proficient in Microstation, AutoCAD or Civil 3D. * Willing to work independently and with others as a team member. * Interested in work in a team setting with strong collaboration skills. * Proficient in written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. Compensation: $34.00 to $47.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
