Responsibilities:

You will design industrial equipment produced by JBT/CAT on-site at the Russellville, AR, facility. This involves creation and revision of engineering drawings of piece parts and assemblies of complex designs involving dimensioning, tolerances, intricate details, auxiliary views, and projections from sketched layouts or engineering data as required. Solves complex issues and produces applicable engineering data while maintaining standards.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will direct activities, determine priorities, and mentor 2 Mechanical Engineers.

* Design industrial equipment for the food processing industry
* Revise engineering drawings involving dimensioning, tolerances, intricate details, auxiliary views, and projections from sketches, layouts, or engineering data.
* Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects
* Create and Checks drawings for accuracy
* Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish design, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
* Create and release notifications and bulletins on changes in design revisions and improvements.
* Support manufacturing with drawings, prints, specifications, and programming.
* Work with vendors to ensure that the quality level is maintained
* Maintain drawing and model library, history, revisions, and functional specifications.
* Maintains project budgets.
* Investigate cost reductions and improvements.

Requirements for the role

* B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design/Drafting, Industrial Technology, or 10 years equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an OEM manufacturing engineering environment
* Proficient in AutoCAD Mechanical and/or related CAD software.
* Experience with Autodesk Inventor
* Must be familiar with the use of drafting standards, symbols, engineering terms, computer equipment, plotters, printers, etc.
* Six Sigma green belt or comparable continuous improvement methodology
* You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Travel & Location

* This position is onsite and we ask that you travel approximately 5% of the time
